ABOUT LEVANTIC
Strategy and craft, from one partner
Levantic brings nearly three decades of IT experience to businesses on the Costa Blanca — from advising leadership on strategy and regulation, to the hands-on craft of building what those strategies require. For our clients, that means thinking and execution under the same roof.
THE PERSON BEHIND LEVANTIC
Founded and led by
Richard van der Kroft
Levantic is founded and led by Richard van der Kroft, who brings nearly 30 years of IT experience to the company. The years of his career before Levantic were spent at the strategic level in the Netherlands: multi-year IT strategy for a large, complex organisation, and advising senior leadership on questions that rarely had easy answers. How does EU regulation change what we can and can’t do? What does national digital policy mean for us on the ground? Where do we invest, and where do we hold back?
But there’s another side to Richard that shapes Levantic just as much: a genuine pleasure in the craft. Building a website that loads fast and reads well. Watching an automation click into place. Getting a multilingual chatbot to handle four languages with the right tone. That combination of strategic thinking and hands-on enjoyment is rare — and it’s what makes Levantic work the way it does. The same person who can sit at your boardroom table can also pick up the keyboard and build what was decided.
Richard lives on the Costa Blanca, works in English, Dutch and understands German and Spanish, and would rather have a thirty-minute honest conversation than send a forty-page proposal.
ABOUT LEVANTIC
Why Levantic
Levantic was built on a simple observation: the businesses that need solid IT advice the most are usually the ones who can’t access it. The expertise exists — but it lives in big consultancy firms and big-agency budgets, out of reach of the businesses that actually need it. Meanwhile, local businesses on the Costa Blanca struggle to digitalise, expat entrepreneurs pay for IT they can’t communicate about because of the language barrier, and companies expanding into Spain find no one to explain what Verifactu or the AEPD actually mean for them.
We exist to close that gap. Levantic brings the same strategic thinking and technical depth typically reserved for large organisations, applied at the scale of the businesses that need it most. Multi-year IT strategy. Tech stack reviews. Multilingual websites. AI features that actually deliver. Automations that quietly remove hours of weekly admin. Managed IT and Spanish compliance — all from one team, locally present.
What sets us apart isn’t any single capability. It’s the combination. Most providers do one piece. A strategy consultant hands you a plan and leaves. A web agency builds a site without understanding direction. An IT shop keeps the lights on but never asks where you’re heading. For our clients, having all of this in one place means: no handovers between suppliers who don’t talk to each other, no advice that ignores what can actually be built, no execution without understanding the strategy. Just one partner, from direction to delivery to ongoing care.
EXPERIENCE THAT TRANSFERS
What nearly 30 years taught us
Three things shape how we work today — and each one matters to what you get as a client.
Strategy that survives contact with reality
Our strategic experience comes from organisations where a wrong call affects tens of thousands of people. That kind of context strips away the theoretical fast.
For you: a plan you can actually execute, with the budget and people you actually have — not a beautiful document that sits in a drawer.
Translation between worlds
The work has always been translation: between technical teams and leadership, between rules and reality, between current state and intended direction. Most businesses on this coast need exactly that — someone fluent on both sides of the conversation.
For you: no nodding politely at jargon, no wondering whether you were understood. Just clear thinking, plainly said.
The pleasure of the craft
Behind everything strategic, there’s a love for actually building things — websites that feel right, automations that disappear into the background, AI features that surprise people.
For you: a partner that can not only set direction but also pick up the work and do it well, with care for the details that make digital things worth using.
HOW we WORK
What you can expect from us
Four choices we make consistently — even when the easier route is right there.
Honest over eager
We’ll tell you when something isn’t worth doing, when a cheaper tool will serve you better, or when you don’t need us at all. A short-term sale isn’t worth a long-term reputation, especially in a region where everyone knows everyone. For you: advice you can actually trust, because it isn’t shaped by what we want to sell.
Practical over theatrical
No 60-page reports that sit in a drawer. No technology for its own sake. Everything we recommend connects to something real: time saved, money earned, risk reduced, or a clear step toward where you want to be. For you: every euro spent has a reason you can explain — to your accountant, your partner, or yourself.
Present over absent
We’re based here, on the Costa Blanca, not flying in for meetings. When you need us, we’re reachable — in English, Dutch, German or Spanish — and we’d rather catch a problem early than bill you for fixing it late. For you: a real person, in your time zone, who knows your situation when you call.
Long-term over quick wins
What we build, we help keep working. We’re interested in clients who stay, not projects that end. That only works if what we deliver genuinely earns its place, year after year. For you: a partner with skin in the game beyond the first invoice, because we both want this to still be working three years from now.
Why here
Levantic is based on the Costa Blanca, between Valencia and Alicante. This isn’t a remote operation with a Spanish phone number — it’s a business rooted in the same place as its clients, run by people who understand both the international community that has made this coast home and the Spanish reality that surrounds it.
We also genuinely like it here, and that matters more than it sounds. People who enjoy their surroundings do better work. Strategic thinking is sharper when you’re not commuting through grey traffic; building work is more careful when you’re not racing the clock. Sun and good coffee turn out to be productivity tools.
Let’s talk about where you’re going.
The best way to find out if we’re a fit is a conversation. Thirty minutes, free, no obligation. Tell us what’s on your mind and we’ll tell you honestly whether — and how — we can help.
